Health and Check-Ups (GENITAL WARTS; TRIHOMONIASIS)
Genital Warts: These are single warts or clusters that suddenly appear around genital or anal areas. They are highly contagious and spread during the active moments of sexual intercourse because of a virus that enters the skin. It remains dormant for up to three months. When it becomes active the warts form. On the penis the warts can appear either on the foreskin or on the skin
edge beneath the glans head of a circumcised penis. They itch. Treatment is by ointment or cauterization.
Trichomoniasis: This is an infection of the vagina that causes discharge, itch and smell. A man not wearing a condom during sex may have his penis infected too. Treatment is a short course of tablets.
